Butternut Squash Fries

Fries are universally known as unhealthy.

Usually, they are! If you are buying packaged fries, the ingredient label probably reads canola, sunflower, or safflower oil. This is aside from the oil that you need to fry.

Please do not cook your fries in these oils! They are the reason eating fat is known as unhealthy.

  • 1 butternut squash

  • plenty of animal fat

  • mixed herbs

  • salt and pepper

  1. Preheat the oven to 200'C.

  2. Peel and cut the squash in half lengthways. Scoop out the seeds and then cut each half into fries or wedges.

  3. Toss the fries in fat, herbs and sprinkle with salt&pepper.

  4. Bake for 35 minutes (depending on the size of your fries).

Butternut squash fries are a tasty alternative to potato fries :-)
